Gordon Magee is a seasoned digital ecommerce marketer, with 13 years of experience overseeing one of the top internet retail websites in the United States.  That oversight included features and functionality of the website and usability, email marketing, social media, display advertising, SEO and SEM, essentially all things digital.

In addition to overseeing Internet Marketing, his direct reports included Internet IT, Internet Creative, Public Relations, Television, Radio and Print Media as well as being the company spokesperson, appearing on television and speaking at conferences around the country.  He was also the Executive Producer of the company TV show seen on Animal Planet and in syndication, and provided voiceover for company commercials and the animated mascot of the TV show.

Beyond his years in Internet Marketing, Gordon’s unique background has equipped him to know what hard work is, how to get along with people and how to analyze data.

He spent 11 years of his working life as an ironworker, climbing around on structural steel, fabricating steel and welding. Ironworkers are known for their “can do” attitude and the discipline it takes to work hard but do things safely in a very dangerous profession.

For 20 years he served as a full time pastor both in Canada and the US, during which time he served for 9 years on the Board of Governors for Trinity Western University located just outside of Vancouver, British Columbia.  Trinity Western is the largest privately funded University in all of Canada and home to the Dead Sea Scrolls Institute, perhaps the premier place for the study of the Dead Sea Scrolls in North America, if not the world.

His background in academia and the weekly study required in the pastorate, made him comfortable in the geek world of the internet as he learned his new profession years ago.  That new profession included his being asked to serve on the Advisory Board for the University of Wisconsin eBusiness Consortium, which he did for two years. In the early days of Internet Marketing as a member of the Web Analytics Association, he wrote a module on paid search marketing that was used by the University of British Columbia as part of its curriculum.

He is presently working on a feature film project with a Hollywood producer as they adapt a novel he wrote into a screenplay.  Separate from that he is working on a script for a TV show pilot, and was lucky enough to co-write a song that became the theme song for the PBR and the CBR at different times (bull riding organizations) and was recorded by Randy Travis.
